Verdict

Plenty of runners here but few look to have realistic chances. Union Dues looked a classy prospect when landing a Grade 2 bumper in 2012 and easily landed a Flat race at the Galway Festival the following year. He wasn't seen again until last month when he made too many mistakes in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown. He will undoubtedly have benefited from that run and will be difficult to keep out of the frame. Black Warrior has done well in bumpers and, given his stable's recent form, a successful start over timber is by no means out of the question but Lofgren followed a very good second on this track with a poor run in a Fairyhouse handicap and will need to do much better so the vote goes to HURRICANE DARWIN. Alan Fleming's charge found Yes Sir Brian too strong at Fairyhouse but it was a decent effort and, with slightly better ground in his favour, he can finally get off the mark.
