AINSI VA LA VIE was unbeaten in three bumpers so it was no surprise when she started odds-on for her hurdling debut at Galway but she fluffed her lines. She'll undoubtedly improve for the experience and should win though taking a short price doesn't look an attractive option. Martello Park won a bumper here in February before running in much better company. She made a reasonable start over timber at Clonmel and with that under her belt is expected to make good progress. Winning bumper Monastery hasn't shown much over timber but the longer trip could help while Shimmer's Rock made a promising start over hurdles at Clonmel, when Reine Des Pres wasn't far behind, and should be winning soon.
