Verdict

MARY FRANCES is top-rated here after making most in a 3m handicap on heavy ground at Punchestown with Cartwright last of the 16 runners. She'd previously contested Grade 2/3 events and will take some catching. Jetz had been running in top company over fences before reverting to hurdles and finishing runner-up to Charli Parcs at Leopardstown where he probably found the 2m2f too short. Karl Der Grosse hasn't been seen since last February when pulling up on this track where he was nowhere near his best. He's been given a long break and the Tramore maiden winner is one to keep on the right side. Ferocious, a Tramore maiden winner, couldn't handle Grade 3 company here last time and this should be more to his liking.
