MERRY NIGHT started odds-on for his racecourse debut at Fairyhouse but suffered some interference and couldn't pick up. That was over 2m4f so it's a surprise to see him over this trip but there'll be much more to come and he looks the one to be on. Briar Lane was a couple of lengths behind and looks held while point-to-point winner Articulum was beaten a long way on his debut under Rules in a Punchestown bumper. Robbina hadn't shown much before being well supported over this track and trip last month and running well behind Presentingoscar with Pixie's Lot, who was making her debut, just a couple of lengths behind.
