CHEAP AS CHIPS was handed a soft lead when coming home an easy winner over hurdles at Clonmel a fortnight ago. She's very well handicapped over fences and if in the same mood would be difficult to oppose. Andrew Ring, who rode her that day, is on board Philip Rothwell's other runner Mark Me Up, who found 2m4f too far at Gowran after his victory over the minimum at Down Royal. Matsukaze has shown nothing in three starts over fences but makes his handicap debut from a very fair mark compared to his hurdles rating. The latter remark also applies to Fiery Oscar, who looks the main threat as he's on a 28lb lower mark and has the form to take this at his best.
