In depth

Verdict

Afatcat made his racecourse debut at Bellewstown in August and ran well behind Aranhill Chief but the winner has been well beaten subsequently. Winning point-to-pointer Band Of Blood made a reasonable start at Limerick last March and has enough pace and stamina in his pedigree to make a decent performer in time while Dream Beat and The Pounds have shown enough to suggest they can get competitive. ARCTIC WOLF's pedigree is more about speed than stamina so any further rain probably wouldn't help his cause but he's a half-brother to several winners and out of a winning mare so can keep up the family tradition and make a winning start. Cyprian Prince easily won a point at Dromahane in December and should be monitored in the market.
