Verdict

All The Chimneys, who has won twice over fences around here, just failed to take advantage of a much lower hurdles mark over 2m3f at Cork last month when headed close home. He'll make a bold bid to go one better though the five-year-old Defan has much more scope having landed a Leopardstown handicap on just his third start over fences. Ask Nile is on a very long losing run though generally races in slightly higher grade while GOLDEN JEWEL (NAP) reverts to fences after performing well over timber earlier in the year. He's on an 18lb lower mark and gets the nod, though Ricky Langford won over fences at Ballinrobe before a very good effort over timber at Punchestown.
