It makes sense to run easy Salisbury winner IMPERIAL STATE (NAP) under a penalty here as he'll be going up more than the 6lb from next week. Very unexposed, George Scott's gelding is just preferred to Tan Arabiq even though Mike Appleby's charge has only been raised4lb for a course and distance victory. Lozah was beaten in a seller here last time and none of the others in the bottom half of the weights make much appeal but there could be more to come from Hilltop Ranger making his handicap debut.
