        Verdict

        Calliope won this last year from 7lb lower and has only had four subsequent starts, showing much better form at Redcar when stepped up to 1m6f. PERCY'S PRINCESS found soft ground against her at Leicester after winning a better race than this on fast going at Doncaster and would has a chance second to none if the rain stays away. She had Surround Sound behind on Town Moor and should take care of that one again while Good Time Ahead's only victory in 21 starts came on the all-weather. Melabi won here in April and has been racing in stronger company so he could provide the main threat.
