Eastern Racer has been in fine form over 6f and included a win here in an earlier double. But he’s upped 7lb after finishing runner-up at Carlisle and Granny Roz was raised the same amount for winning over 6f at Doncaster back in April. The latter was beaten by Lydiate Lad at Ripon before that while Bossipop found one too good when favourite over 6f at Ayr last week. Lexington Place finished second over 5f at Nottingham recently but is upped in class so the vote goes to last month’s Beverley runner-up ELYSIAN FLYER, who won off a higher mark over course and distance last season.
