The last two renewals have produced shock winners which is hardly surprising given the nature of the event and time of year. Tim Easterby has had a couple of winners without quite striking top form and Blue Shoes is respected though her two career victories have come on soft ground. The yard's Hello Stranger may have a better chance as he hasn't had much experience and this will be his first run on good going since landing his debut victory at Newcastle. Planetex is another who may have been hampered by testing ground though he's 9lb higher than his Newcastle victory while Chester Aristocrat might need the run after an absence since October. DANCHEUR has plenty of weight but could prove best after she led for a long way on her reappearance over 7f at Kempton. This is her trip and provided there's no more rain she could prove the best option in a very difficult event.
