Verdict

This appears to be something of an experimental outing for most of the field with regard to the trip, and is therefore a race to treat with caution. Aahgowangowan put in a fine display on his reappearance at Redcar over seven furlongs and is entitled to come on for the run. However, he did run out of steam towards the finish and would be a doubtful stayer if the opposition were any stronger. His stablemate, Addeyll also has a few questions to answer and has been woefully below par in his three outings this term. Therefore it may pay to concentrate on Mr Wensleydale and Freya's Dream, who are closely matched judging by a literal reading of their meeting at Catterick last month. The former has gone on to better that performance and can confirm the form over this extra furlong. Castaway Queen could prove to be the best of the rest.
