It’s definitely an advantage to have a low draw in big fields on the round course here and recent Pontefract scorer Ralphy Boy has been lucky in that respect. He’s only a couple of pounds higher so should make a bold bid to follow up. But MYSTIC MIRAAJ has been steadily coming to hand in recent weeks and may now be ready to add to his two career victories to date. King Of Swing, second over 7f here last month, also looks well drawn but Nonno Giulio and Trinity Star have been less fortunate with stalls 15 and 17 respectively. Dutch Artist has been shaping as though a longer trip might be in order lately and this might be a bit too competitive for Beverley winner Sovereign Bounty but Throckley and Le Roi Du Temps remain largely unexposed.
