Bijou Dan has continued to trouble the judge at his advancing years and George Moore's veteran is sure to be thereabouts again. He looks fated to find one too good again, however, and DR FINLEY may be the one to spoil the party this time. The Newmarket raider put up his best performance for some time at Newcastle and he can go one better in the night cap. Descaro is invariably supported in races of this nature and, despite some modest form in the interim, David O'Meara's grey races off a mark 5lb lower than the figure he scored off at Pontefract last October. Micky Hammond's horses are running well so the quirky Terenzium would be of interest if he consents to put his best foot forward but Miss Ferney disappointed badly on her only try over this trip. The mare has won a couple of races over 1m6f since, however, so any market confidence should be noted. Jim Goldie won this race last year but Lady Gargoyle has plenty to do in order to take the prize back to Scotland.
