Ambrosia went close at Salisbury before failing to land the odds at Kempton and Cape To Cuba was beaten only a head at Doncaster but returned a losing favourite in soft ground at Nottingham. That pair are likely to dominate the betting but CARAVELA is not out of this on her second at Pontefract when finishing in front of a subsequent winner. Mick Channon’s filly also beat Teomaria on that occasion and should go close again. Small Mercy looks to have a tough task on her debut.
