        Verdict

        Shamekh wasn’t exactly a cheap purchase at the Tattersalls Sales as a yearling and the boys in blue have already given him the unkindest cut of all before he’s reached the racecourse. The Wood Ditton Stakes is usually a fair race for providing horses to follow so ROGUE ROCKET (NAP) has to be viewed positively in what is essentially a drop in class. Plenty are using the talented Harry Burns and, while the rider can only claim 5lbs these days, it will be hoped he can persuade Positive Impact to participate as he refused to enter the stalls at Newmarket on his scheduled debut last term. Master Of Combat appears likely to make the running but will likely find at least one too good again.
