Verdict
Global Spirit won in this grade at Pontefract two runs ago, though that was over a mile, while Reputation finished third yet again when beaten less than a length at Beverley. Merricourt disappointed at Ayr having gone close before that so TRUMBLE gets another chance. Rated a massive 25lb higher on the all-weather, the latter has had excuses in both starts on this surface since returning to action and David Loughnane’s charge may finally take advantage of his current mark and open his account on Turf.
