Flying Pursuit drops down a grade and there’s a good chance that the top weight can recoup last week’s York losses as he’s now 3lb than for his last success. But HAJJAM is also now below his last winning mark and he’ll be equally at home on the ground. He’s also better suited by 7f than Tim Easterby’s charge. Shawaamekh was impressive over the trip at York and will make a bold bid to shrug off a 5lb rise and Right Action is only a pound higher than when successful at Doncaster in March. Michael Dods’ pair, Proud Archi and John Kirkup, are both course winners but are not as well drawn as stablemate Danielsflyer. The latter, however, may find today’s going too testing. Stoney Lane has few miles on the clock and is consistent but probably high enough in the weights.
