Karannelle, runner-up at Newton Abbot last month, had a chance in the 3.40 at Chepstow yesterday. MI LADDO (NAP) gained his only hurdles victory on this track in April and though a close fourth behind today's rivals Rathnure Ranger and Gerard Mentor at Exeter last time was a bit unlucky in-running and is taken to reverse the form and land this. Folly Gate has yet to win and has an absence to overcome but his stable is in excellent form so he has to be respected, a remark that also applies to Shanandoa, just 1lb higher than when completing a double at Stratford in June.
