Rathlin Rose has lost his way again since finishing second in a veterans’ chase at Doncaster in December and looks too close in the weights to STORM HOME, who just came up short against El Kaldoun here in December under Harry Kimber and is overdue a first win over fences. Jean Genie is also a maiden in chases but he was knocking on the door in the autumn and has had a wind operation. Seemingly So is equally unexposed but didn’t seem to handle heavy going at Wetherby last month. Wagner should be capable of better but both Sandy Boy and Broadclyst have proved hard to place.
