In depth

Verdict

Ruby Gale and Millcroft Seaspray are the two to concentrate on in this novices' chase and we will side with the market leader Ruby Gale. This gelding from the Paul Nicholls yard was a good third behind Ballyconnell last time at Cheltenham in a class B handicap and as he is dropped to novice company here he is taken to score. Millcroft Seaspray looks the one most likely to capitalise if anything should go amiss with the favourite. However, he has been pulled-up on his last three runs which does not inspire confidence. Double Tee showed improved form when a fair fourth to Get The Point last time, but he will need to improve again to beat the confident selection Ruby Gale.
