Five Two drops in class and whilst he doesn't have stamina guaranteed over hurdles, this tight, sharp track should suit a test of speed and he gets the nod ahead of Pipes Assertive Way and Kyathos. Mick Fitzgerald looks an interesting jockey booking on Tony Martin's capable flat performer (rated in the 70's) and his best runs have come when tackling quick ground. He is odds-on to get that here and with that likely to help him get the trip, he looks worth a bet. Three Ships has been running fairly well in similar races of late without getting the head in front, whilst the same can be said of Kyathos who just bumped into a Barney Curley runner last time out. The drop in trip should suit Tony Carroll's Pips Assertive Way who is also helped by the jockey's claim, whilst High Season is at least unexposed after just three starts over timber but hardly looks a world beater. Not a race to dwell on for too long, and Five Two can win.
