In depth

Verdict

Terek and Dick The Taxi are the two to concentrate on in this beginners' chase and we will side with Terek. The selection has ability and often travels well in his races but has a tendency to find little off the bridle. He was a beaten favourite when he unseated his rider last time on this track but with little to beat here he could be capable of making amends. Dick The Taxi has shown a fair level of form over hurdles but has been a bit disappointing over the bigger obstacles so far. He could be capable of better and if he jumps more fluently than he has done so far he will be a danger to our nomination. Saby hails from the Peter Hobbs yard and does have ability but has overall been a bit disappointing since arriving from France. Croker is making his chasing debut so could be interesting if the market speaks in his favour, although his last three runs over hurdles have been disappointing. This is a poor race which will not take much winning and Terek is given the percentage call.
