Red Dahlia, Don't Ask Me and Pirandello are three against the field in a wide open affair and the vote is given to Red Dahlia. The selection has one of the best jockeys onboard for this type of event won well last time out and off what remains a fair mark and under conditions that suit she is taken to score. Don't Ask Me rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Astyanax. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and with the step up in trip sure to suit he will not be far away. Pirandello is another worthy of respect but he continues to rise in the weights without winning and again he looks vulnerable. Devito won well last time out but this looks more competitive and he may struggle under his penalty. Of the remainder Freedom Now has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Red Dahlia who still looks competitive off this mark.
