In depth

Verdict

Sheshali won a minor contest at Southwell in November but has more on his plate here under a penalty. Earth Planet has already had five starts over fences and isn't really progressing judged on his latest fourth at Kempton so the safest bet is probably LAKE LEGEND. Third to Rebel Du Maquis on his chasing debut over a shorter trip here in November, Alan King's charge stepped up on that effort when tackling 3m at Doncaster last month and was easily the best of these over timber. Mortimers Cross took a heavy fall at Towcester last time and hasn't much scope at the age of 10, while Persian Run and Top Benefit may be out of their depth against a couple of these.
