In depth

Verdict

Earth Company’s fourth at Wincanton was probably decent form and he is expected to be thereabouts in this with that run under his belt. Gala De Corton was a relatively expensive purchase and third on his debut at Ludlow in November while Thunder Rock filled the same position at Newcastle. WILLIAM OF YORK is by NH sire Kayf Tara and out of a bumper and hurdles winner. His owners have enjoyed plenty of success in bumpers in recent years and he will know what’s required. Sheila Nash swerved and unseated her rider at the start at Ludlow last week but showed ability last season and is not out of this.
