In depth

Verdict

Several of these are chasers likely having a confidence-booster ahead of a summer campaign. Calva D'Auge was in good form in the end of last year, however, and didn’t get the run of the race when favourite for a jumpers’ bumper in February. Umndeni was second at Exeter in October but is 3lb higher and hasn’t raced since. LADY KK (NAP) won on the bridle at Ffos Las a week ago. She could be capable of even more if the ground dries out further and it will be a surprise if she doesn’t shrug off a penalty.
