All four newcomers have shown ability on the Flat, albeit to varying degrees. The two to make most appeal on paper are Crane, now with Nicky Henderson and Dark Motive who's moved to Jamie Snowden from Ralph Beckett. The former would be a narrow preference but experience often proves a valuable commodity in juvenile hurdles and Fred Bear and ONEONECHOP came home second and third in the Newton Abbot contest won by Scrappy Jack. However, the Pipe horse produced a major jolt of improvement on that second start and can reverse placings here as he gains further experience and sports first-time headgear.
