Verdict

Ascot Day won on the Flat at Epsom in July and will handle any give in the ground but Serjeant Painter’s record on similar surfaces would be a concern. Masterdream beat Dolly Mcqueen by 10 lengths on Jersey two runs ago but was then beaten in a seller at Newton Abbot. DUTCH ADMIRAL was back to his best in first-time cheekpieces at Fontwell and should go one better here if the headgear works a second time.
