    Verdict

Latin Queen should be able to return to winning ways in a race of this nature and has most to fear from Manx Royal and Marrel. The selection looked to have every chance when falling at the last in the race won by Matthew Muroto at Newton Abbot in April. Prior to that effort she had jumped superbly to beat a competitive field at Exeter in good style. If none the worse for that fall she has to go close in this company. David Pipe's Manx Royal is rated 132 over hurdles but he hasn't really shone over fences. He can be a very careless jumper, but if he gets his act together he will be a major threat to the selection. The pick of the others should be the consistent hurdler Marrel who did go well on his only venture over the larger obstacles. All in all a tricky little contest but Latin Queen having already been successful in this type of event, is the percentage call.
