In depth

Verdict

This is a dire contest, even by selling standards. TOP BRASS won on the all-weather when trained by John Gosden. He has hinted at ability over timber and first-time cheekpieces could help him across the line in front here. Royal Advice, successful four times on the all-weather, could not have found an easier race in which to make his hurdling debut and Janus won’t be far away if fully primed after a 512-day absence.
