Verdict

A few of these have been hard to win with over the years so it may pay to stick with Strong Magic now that he has rediscovered what it takes to force his head in front and stay there at the end of his races. The frustrating Bicycle Thief along with Tresor Preziniere and Very Very Noble can give them all something to think about and has to be placed on the shortlist. However, they all have their quirks and will always be risky propositions for win only purposes. Therefore, we return to Strong Magic for the selection today as he at least arrives here on the back of a series of good performances. The ground has also come up in the favour of the old-boy and, with Richard Hobson again in the plate, he has a cracking chance add to his tally at this level before he is retired at the end of the season.
