In depth

Verdict

LUCCOMBE DOWN (NAP) was always travelling best when following up his Uttoxeter victory at Market Rasen when The Lampo Genie was a well-beaten third. Even with a welter burden here, Fergal O'Brien's six-year-old is difficult to oppose as he faces modest opposition. Sheer Poetry has been in the handicapper's grip for a while so Hatters River and Dun Scaith can fight out the minor placings.
