    Verdict

Long Call was second here last month after winning at Bangor, when well ahead of Gavin, but gives the impression he doesn’t find a great deal off the bridle. Clearance arrives in great form but has been raised a further 3lb and may be a Newton Abbot specialist, though this track is similar in nature. BAHTIYAR is 0-14 but was having a first run for Harry Skelton when only beaten half-a-length here last month. Though the winner has been well beaten since, the five-year-old will strip fitter today. The three-year-old Max Of Stars finished ahead of a subsequent winner when second on his handicap debut at Bangor but has been raised 5lb.
