A small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase and all would have chances on their best form, but Duchamp, Fear Siuil and Moon Glow are the main protagonists with the vote going to Duchamp. The gelding from the Andrew Balding yard goes well when fresh and with conditions in his favour, despite top weight, he will be hard to beat. Fear Siuil rates the main danger. He has won his last two races in good style but as a consequence is rising in the weights and his best form to date has been over a longer trip. Moon Glow is game and consistent but ran as if in the handicapper's grip when well beaten by New Bird last time. Flahive's First would have a chance if he was running at his beloved Cartmel, but he is opposable here, and the vote goes to Duchamp.
