Verdict

The drop back to this trip should suit Old Money, who did not appear to stay last time, though WILLIAM VAN GOGH gets the verdict. John Gosden's colt will benefit from a 3lb drop following his handicap debut last time and pedigree suggests that this slower surface will suit. With the yard going well today can probably be his day. Old Money is much respected and will probably go in these conditions. Hoodie is taking some time to blossom and will have to improve plenty for two mediocre efforts if he is to trouble the aforementioned pair, but it will be a surprise if one of that duo doesn't win and the one that can is William Van Gogh.
