    Verdict

RANCH HAND overcame signs of inexperience to make a winning start over 1m4f here last month and this shorter trip should not be a problem for Andrew Balding’s charge. He’s fancied to get the better of Say The Word despite a penalty. The latter has been gelded since finding one too good in both starts last year and steps up in distance today while Luke Morris’ presence suggests Tadasana is preferred to fellow newcomer and stablemate Kalaya. The remainder showed little on their respective debuts and are best watched for now.
