Platinum Charmer can land the seller ahead of Coolfore Jade and Luxi River, with Gladys Aylward an interesting runner in the line up. The selection came good over a furlong-longer trip here nine days ago in a seller, winning with a little bit up his sleeve. The cheekpieces did the trick there and they might be able to do so again. Ipledgeallegiance is held on that form, although Coolfore Jade is closely weighted with selection on the basis of that Southwell race referred to, and Luxi River does not have too much to find. You pay your money and you take make your choice. Gladys Aylward won a Catterick claimer during the summer of last year when officially rated 63. It is interesting that her only run on this surface came of seven furlongs, so this represents a big step up in trip. Lightly raced, her two career wins have come at seven furlongs, although she showed up well for a long way when tried at a two-mile trip over hurdles last time out. It will be interesting to see how she goes. Using Shatin Special as the form guide, Red Delirium has a bit to find with the selection, and Rex Romelio showed promise in his native Germany but has shown distinctly little in two starts in this country and is now fitted with a first-time visor. Once again, though, Platinum Charmer gets the nod.
