        Verdict

        Spitfire was still beaten a long way when runner-up here a week ago and Insolenceofoffice is 6lb higher than when scoring over track and trip in June. Prince Of Passion has decent claims on his latest third to Caramelita, who runs in the previous race, but THORPE BAY is just preferred. He needs to reverse earlier running with Prince Of Passion but Tom Queally's presence takes the eye and he gets the nod. Upper Lambourn was placed here during the summer but this is much tougher and Monzino has done all his winning so far over further.
