Brandy Cove is given a tentative vote in a wide open affair with First Maite and Paso Doble rated as the principle dangers. The selection hails from the bang in-form Bryan Smart yard and he hinted that he might be returning to some kind of form over this course and distance last time when finishing fifth behind Tre Colline. That form has since been franked and he could go well at a decent price. First Maite is another course and distance winner who is sure to run his race but he generally finds one too good and for that reason is opposed. Paso Doble was a fair fourth behind Shirley Oaks last time but he has yet to win over this trip and with an inexperienced rider booked he is taken on. Quiet Reading has a top jockey on board and is worth noting in the market, but Brandy Cove might just be coming to hand and looks the value in an open affair.
