Uncle Brit won a division of this last year under today's rider and It's All A Game won the other division but has not raced since June. ROGER THORPE has recorded both wins to date over track and trip and a recent second here suggests he will make another bold bid today. He beat General Tufto at the track last year and is also preferred to course winner Le Deluge, who scored at Lingfield a week ago over 1m2f. Peace Lilly was still beaten seven lengths when runner-up here recently but Schottische may figure with today's amateur claiming 7lb.
