Verdict

This is a decent contest for the prize money. Goodthyneaway twice beat Scartare over shorter trips here in the spring and won again at Plumpton last month, though was last of three at Stratford on his latest outing. Potters Story would have claims if on a going day and Three Colours Red is an interesting recruit to chasing having won three of his last four over hurdles. Ratfacemcdougall was well backed on his fencing bow at Bangor and wasn’t beaten far. He’ll know more today and is still unexposed but THE DRONE is becoming something of a course specialist. Alex Hales’ charge has won his last two here over hurdles, beating Atomic Rumble in the second of those, and was outpaced around Fakenham on his only previous try over fences. He’s a dual winner between the flags so there should be plenty more to come.
