In depth

Verdict

Plenty of deadwood in this and it was soft ground when Manofthemoment landed a gamble at Exeter last month for which he’s been raised 5lb. MIDNIGHT AURORA (NAP) is preferred, despite the drop back down in trip, given Dan Skelton’s charge went close in both subsequent starts since winning at Worcester in August and arrives fresh from a lay-off with her yard still firing in the winners. Novice hurdle winner Shine Baby Shine went close on the Flat here last time on her first outing after wind surgery while Polarbrook was placed off a higher mark at Huntingdon on his penultimate start.
