Verdict

CARRIE DES CHAMPS, just inched out at Perth the last day, has a gilt-edged opportunity to regain the winning thread and notch a fifth success in eight starts for Gordon Elliott. Her bumper and hurdle form is the best on offer by some way. Point-to-point winner, Go To Court is back after wind surgery and The Distant Lady showed a good attitude to prevail in a bumper here last month and now makes her hurdling debut. She looks the likeliest threat. Winter Holiday is another hurdling debutant after showing promise in bumpers and Lexi was beaten a long way on her only hurdling start, albeit by a couple of useful sorts.
