Jay Bee Ell, Bid Spotter and Weston Rock look to be the principles in this competitive handicap and the tentative vote goes to Weston Rock. The selection was a fair third behind Burning Shore at Aintree last time. He remains on a fair mark and under conditions that suit he looks the value bet in an open affair. Jay Bee Ell was a good second behind Yesyes last time and it is interesting to note that his shrewd trainer turns him out quickly after that run. But he looks to have plenty of weight for what he has actually achieved and he is passed over for that reason. Bid Spotter won well last time out when defeating Artic Spirit at Towcester but he is far from certain to see out this longer trip. Of the remainder, Lord Rochester remains on a fair mark but he has a 210 day absence to overcome and for the winner we return to Weston Rock.
