Wayward shot is not a certainty to reproduce his last run, but nevertheless he secures the vote, with Comeintothespace and Astorygoeswithit two dangers with long names. The selection has a 6lb penalty to contend with today however the manner of his victory suggested that he has a couple more races in him. First-time blinkers were the catalyst to that last victory and if they work to the same effect he could be hard to catch from his decent draw. Comeintothespace drops in trip today however it is doubtful whether he has the tactical speed to make that a 'plus'. Apex is consistent if unspectacular and could run into a place at a decent price, however of more interest could be Astorygoeswithit. He stayed on well to get up over a furlong less three weeks ago but should have no problems with this trip and remains of interest. This isn't the best of contests so we will stick with Mick Easterby's Wayward Shot to go in again.
