      Verdict

      SPRING ROMANCE has won four of his six starts since joining the in-form Mick Appleby and bids for a hat-trick of course and distance wins having won here earlier in the week. He’s upped a grade today but an apprentice’s allowance negates a penalty and he looks the one to beat. The Nosey Parker is another bidding for a treble having won at Wolverhampton on her handicap debut and she has more scope than Excessable, who scored over track and trip last time. Capla Spirit and Young John finished second here on their respective latest starts and the latter had won over 7f here before that.
