In depth

Verdict

Cooperation and BARNEY’S BAY finished runners-up in their respective divisions of a novices' race at Pontefract a fortnight ago. The latter is the least exposed of that pair and should handle the Fibresand judged on an earlier second on soft ground. Catesby is the only one with experience of this surface but finished well beaten in third while Queen Lagertha is a full-sister to a winner and a newcomer to note.
