NOVALIST looked in trouble when headed over 7f here last week but picked up well in the closing stages to land a double a shade cosily in the end. He'll stay this longer trip on that evidence and can defy a double penalty at the main expense of Two Shades Of Grey. The latter went close over track and trip last time and Company Secretary was only beaten a nose here on his penultimate start by It's All A Game. Course specialist General Tufto is a rare winner nowadays and looks on too high a mark at present.
