In depth

Verdict

Traditional Dancer has yet to win on the Flat or race on this surface but has been in good form over fences. Guaracha has been thereabouts over 2m recently and also debuts at the track but several of the three-year-olds have more scope. Volcanique wasn’t beaten far over 2m at Chelmsford recently when ahead of Doune Castle while Land Of Winter has placed over shorter trips on the Turf. But THORNTON LE CLAY ran out of steam in the closing stages when runner-up over 2m here on only his second start handicapping and Mick Easterby’s charge should make a bold bid over this shorter distance.
